Linear alkyl benzene sulfonic acid

Labsa is manifactured according to our own patented gaseous SO3- sulfonation process.It is a standart product of hight purity.Labsa is based on straight chain alkylate.

Labsa is destined for those areas where legal requirements or voluntary agreement call fort he use of a highly biodegradable sulfonic acid.

USES:

Labsa is a basic surface active material fort he production of various products in the form of liquids, pastes,powders and solids.

NEUTRALIZATION:

100 kg of labsa reguire for neutralization:

22,0-24,0 kg NH3                       (25%)

12,8-13,5 kg NaOH                      (100%)

18,0-19,0 kg KOH                        (100%)

19,0-20,0 kg    Monoethanolamne

34,0-36,0 Diethanolamine

46,0-49,0 kg Triethanolamine

When neutralizing with ethanolamines or KOH the percentage of active detergent matter is increased in the final product,the reason being the high molecular weight of the ethanolamines or the KOH, which add to the molecular weight of the final detergent material.

Hence 100 parts of Labsa neutralized with:

NH3                           yield 99 parts of active detergent matter.

The bases are diluted with water according to the desired final concentrations, Highy temperatures during neutralization should be avoidet in order to preserve the light colour of the product.The progress of neutralization can be checked by the use of pH indicator paper  or universal indicator solution.

BLEACHING:

It is possible to use Labsa without bleaching owing to its light colour.If necessary, bleaching is effected by sodium Hypochlorite solution when neutralizing NaOH or KOH.
